I have seven years of experience in progressive QA positions, and spent the last three years as QA lead on a fully-remote team. In that role I built and oversaw all aspects of the quality program on a team of 26, as we developed and supported a complex platform for the rapid no-code development of database-driven web apps. I absolutely bring a critical, highly analytical, detail-oriented perspective to quality work, and I'm fully used to defining and managing my own workload. I love working across teams to build and improve process for delivering better products, and I love working to make organizations the most positive and productive versions of themselves as possible through quality initiatives.
Regarding this role's skill requirements, I have many years of direct experience in test planning, authoring, and execution. I'm invested in the engineering aspects of quality, including reading, reviewing, and potentially contributing to code. I've authored automated test suites, done extensive manual testing, and feel extremely confident in my ability to assess testing needs and develop useful, scaleable solutions. In my previous lead role I authored numerous internal quality reports and deep analysis on just about every aspect of operations and the software development process. I'm passionate about continuous learning and growing as an engineer, a manager, and a steward of quality.
There's a lot more I can possibly say here, but in the interest of brevity I'll conclude by adding that I'm particularly excited to be applying to this position at MFI. This role presents to me a rare case of high alignment with both the work itself and the org mission I would be supporting. I'm very interested in meditation, consciousness, and creativity, and am aware of the work of the MFI and the TM movement in general - I find it quite compelling to think about having the opportunity to support that work professionally in my next role. If you're curious to learn more about me and my own personal creative work, I invite you to explore the rest of this website.
Thank you for your consideration, and I hope to talk more soon!
Best,
Tom
